This policy sets out how LuckyThorne, published by Thorne Media Ltd, produces the reviews, guides and game pages you read across the site. We began covering online casinos in 2023, and this document explains the standards behind every page so you can judge our work for yourself.
Who writes for LuckyThorne
Our content is produced by named analysts rather than anonymous staff. Elena Marsh, our Senior iGaming analyst, has nine years of experience and focuses on bonus terms, payments and live casino. Where an author has direct knowledge of a topic, we say so; where a page draws on published operator data instead of hands-on use, we make that clear too. How we research a page
Every casino or game page starts with primary sources: the operator's own site, its terms and conditions, and its stated licensing details. For the operators we cover, we record the licensing body — for LuckyThorne's own operation that is the Malta Gaming Authority — alongside the software studios involved, which for our featured titles include Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO, Evolution and NetEnt.
We only publish specific numbers when we can point to a source. Take the games we feature as an example. Gates of Olympus from Pragmatic Play carries a published RTP of 96.5% with high volatility and a pay-anywhere grid using tumbling wins and multiplier orbs up to 500x. Book of Dead from Play'n GO lists a 96.21% RTP, also high volatility, built around an expanding special symbol during free spins. Lightning Roulette from Evolution is a live game showing a 97.3% RTP with random multipliers from 50x to 500x landing on straight-up numbers. If a figure like an RTP, a bonus amount, a wagering requirement or a licence number is not confirmed in our source material, we generalise rather than guess, and we flag it internally for a human to verify before it goes live.
Accuracy and figures
Gambling figures change. Operators adjust bonus offers, studios update return-to-player settings, and licensing details can be renewed or amended.
